Rain flowed down the creek in the pounding rain. The night was young though it had seemed that the day went as fast as lightning. A black tom silently stepped through the forest. He was soaked in the rain but he didn’t care, for all he had on his mind was the safety of his clan. Where had Lizardstorm disappeared to? The tom thought desperately. After the news about Maplefur expecting kits, he disappeared after the next day. Search patrols were scattered everywhere but there wasn’t even a sent trace of where Lizardstorm had gone to. Patrols came and went with no sign of his brother. Maybe searching for Lizardstorm isn’t going to help. The tom gave a sigh and approached the flowing black creek. It was rushing with cold water and it looks similar to a pool of blood. AS the black tom bent down to take a drink, the wind ruffled his fur as if it were calling him. He continued on with his drink until he was almost pushed over by the intense wind. It seemed as if the winds were calling him. Nightstar…
Whispers rang in his ears. The tall trees blocked the sky of stars. Just before the black tom, stood an old orange tom with blazing green eyes. “Wh-who are you!” Nightstar snarled drawing his lips back. The orange tom stood there not bothering to move. “Nightstar…I am Firestar, the leader of ThunderClan from many moons ago. We roamed on the other side of the Twolegplace long before you had arrived to this world.” Firestar gazed with serious determination letting him know that he was no threat. Nightstar seemed to calm down as he drew in his claws. “What do you need Firestar?” He asked not knowing if he should show respect to the old tom. The ThunderClan leader paced closer to the NightClan leader. “I have just come to tell you a prophecy.” Wind blew over head and leaves ran swiftly in the air. Nightstar was fearless of the weather or the warrior before him. “What prophecy?” He drew forward. “Anger will shatter the blaze unless the one brother thrives with protection…” Firestar peered from his green eyes and faded in a wisp of light until he was only a flicker that soon died away like dust. Anger will shatter the blaze unless the one brother thrives with protection… the words ringed in his ears as the wind blew and soon came to a halt leaving Nightstar with complete silence….
